HARTFORD, CONNECTICUT. -- The prominent brain surgeon and Wall Street king Richard Van Der Woodsen III was found dead yesterday by his butler, John Craw, at his residence in Hartford, Connecticut just before midnight.
Details surrounding the event are being kept under wraps by the police and no official statement has yet been issued regarding the death. However, reliable sources claim he was found on the floor of his living room with his jugular severed by two evenly spaced cuts.
Dr. Van Der Woodsen was 67 at the time of his death and he leaves behind a fortune valued in the tens of millions. Earlier this year he retired from his medical practice and had spent his remaining months involved in politician Graydon Creed's mayoral candidacy.
